Employment & Experience

Six Mile Creek Winery

Starting in March 2014, I began working in the tasting room of the Six Mile Creek Winery. While working in the tasting room, I give narrated tastings featuring wines that are all made onsite. I hope to integrate my experience into my agricultural interests by working in the field with the vines themselves.

Rocky Mountain Field Institute

During the month of July 2013, I participated in the Earth Corps Program through the Rocky Mountain Field Institute. While fully immersed in the back-country of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, in Colorado, I completed 90 hours of campsite restoration and 180 hours of trail restoration work leading to Humboldt Peak (14,065’) to reduce erosion & encourage trail-use.

Groundswell

From September-December 2012, I was a student intern at Groundswell Center for Local Food & Farming located in Ithaca, NY. While at Groundswell, I wrote a script, directed, filmed, & edited a promotional video that was uploaded on Kickstarter for fundraising towards a new irrigation system at West Haven Farm. I also interviewed staff members on topics of cultural competency & racism within the local food system to find their opinions on how these issues affect the local food system. When finished with the interviews, I compiled and wrote a report on the results.
